Alhamdolilah, Nashville International Academy completed the final step of Accreditation by the AdvancED™ (SACS) accreditation body. This is the same accreditation agency that gives accreditation to Ensworth and elite private and public schools and colleges nationally and internationally. Alhamdullah, the Accreditation committee was very impressed with NIA and has recommended it for Accreditation. This is a very significant academic achievement that every Muslim should be proud of! Many thanks to the principal, teachers, board members, and community members for their dedication and support!

ReEnrollment for 2013 - 2014 School Year

ReEnrollment for the 2013 - 2014 school year has now begun. Please read the tuition update, and directions for completing the Re-Enrollment packet. Fill out ALL of the attached forms (re-enrollment, volunteer, and emergency medical) and send it to school along with the $50 re-enrollment fee per student. The priority deadline for current students to submit the re-enrollment packet is March 29, 2013. After this date, available spots will open to all families interested in enrolling their child for 2013-2014 school year. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Afterschool Programs

Afterschool programs started this week! If you are interested in enrolling your child in any of the programs, please contact the front office for more information on how to enroll: The programs listed below have limited space, so please register ASAP!! The programs are as follows:

• Quran Memorization: We will offer Quran classes on Monday/Wednesdays for Beginners, and Tuesday/Thursdays for Intermediate. All classes will be from 4:00-5:30PM. There also be advanced Quran classes on Saturdays from 12:30-3:30PM. The cost is $50/month.

• Taekwondo Classes: Taekwondo Classes will be on Fridays from 4:00 - 6:00PM. The cost is $30/month. (Cost does NOT include uniform, sparing equipment, and tournaments...extra fees will be incurred.)

• Fitness Marathon: The Fitness Marathon team will meet Tuesday - Thursday each week from 3:45 - 5:00PM. Participants will work on physical fitness, healthy living, and step their way toward a better health! The Fitness Marathon is open to adults and children of all ages!! Bring your family and join Coach McNeal on steps toward better, healthier living, and completing the 28 mile marathon!!

• Science Club: Science Club will Introduce students to the love of science through hands-on experiments, fun labs, and lots of opportunities to explore in a fun and highly imaginative environment! Science club meet every other Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:30PM. Student in 3rd - 6th grades are welcome to join us!!

Alhamdulillah, NIA has been approved by the Department of Transportation to provide bus transportation for students attending the Islamic School.  Our pick up sites will be at the following locations:

• Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN)
• Islamic Center of Tennessee (ICT)
• Salahadeen Center
• Masjid Farooque

The cost for transportation is $100 a month per family up to three children.  There will be an additional $25/month for each additional child.  Transportation will begin on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.  For an application for bus transportation services, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
